Career Counseling and Guidance

It is a comprehensive, developmental program designed to assist individuals in making and implementing informed educational and occupational choices. A career counseling and guidance program develops an individual’s competencies in self-knowledge, educational and occupational exploration, and career planning.

Career guidance and counseling programs help individuals acquire the knowledge, skills, and experience necessary to identify options, explore alternatives and succeed in society. The Career Development Centre created Career Guide as a quick, easy-to-navigate resource, which can serve as a useful tool or visit CDC office for having a career advising session.

CV/Resume/Cover Letter Assistance

Producing a good resume and a well written cover letter is a basic requirement for a successful job search. These documents play a critical role in helping employers understand who you are, what motivates you, and what you have to offer as a potential employee.  The CDC is here to assist you with this important task by providing the following resources:

Career Development Seminars

The Career Development Centre offers a variety of career development activities for the all the students of University of Peshawar. These activities are advertised on the web page and social media pages of CDC. All student should actively participate in these events for understanding the processes/requirements of career development.  Listed below are the broad categories of the events arranged for the students:

Career Fairs


The event is designed to provide a platform to the Faculty and Students; prospective employers from the industries and services sector; HR Consultants and Career Counseling firms to interact for each other’s mutual benefits. They will have a deep insight to the efforts made by academia of the University to meet their future knowledge and skill requirements and a chance to personally meet the prospects and evaluate them in advance for internships and employment. The HR Consultants and Career Counseling Firms will act as catalyst in bridging the “need matrix” of both academia and industry.

Student Registration

Career Development Centre (CDC) at University of Peshawar is updating the data of all its students. Please fill the Student Registration Form for updating of the subject database. In addition, kindly share the link with all your contacts of UoP and request them to complete the Registration Form. Students  can also contact the UoP Alumni Relations Office at CDC.
